On the textured surface of a ball, a series of portraits are enhanced by a traditional palette of cobalt blue on a white background, echoing the aesthetic codes of Ming porcelain. The work thus plays on the tension between cultural refinement and urban culture, tradition and movement, apparent fragility and real power. This creation is the result of digital painting, then transposed by giclée onto a basketball, treated to ensure durability and chromatic fidelity.
